You are misreading what I said. Of course the sellers have to hike
their prices to cover fees paid to the CC issuers, but my point was
that US merchants no longer charge a different price to a cash customer
as what they charge a CC customer for the same item. That being the
case, you'd be money ahead making all of your purchases with a CC
that gives a 'rewards' discount.
