Hi Tibor,

this is a great idea, in my opinion! I really like it!

But I'm afraid, that the real usefulness will be depended on competition
organizers, whether they will be willing to "offer" such "strange service"
(= providing the task definition), which will be barely useful for the
majority of competitors with SeeYou Mobile. :(

However, let's think about it more deeply... :)
What is your idea of integrating such tool (for task recieving) to XCSoar?
   1) To have some extra program/tool, which can offer "downloading" some
task independently of XCSoar and save the task to XCSoarData directory as
XML task-file?
   2) Or as an integral part of i.e. task manager (for example some button
like "Get task from wireless source" -> choosing the source of tasks ->
choosing the task -> confirming it with "Load this task" button will
activate it in XCSoar)?
   3) any other possibility?

The first alternative could be usefull also for the users with SeeYou
mobile, because such external program could save that task also for usage
with SeeYou Mobile/ConnectMe. The second alternative will be more
user-friendly, because users need not to think about installation of
another program to PDA/PNA, everything required will be provided with
basic XCSoar installaton.

Personally, I would prefer the second option, because of the
"user-friendliness"...

What do you think?

Roman.

P.S.: I can imagine, that XCSoar's website could offer some sort of "sync
server" services for tasks sharing and distributing... :)
