The grand plan would be to make this an open "industry" standard and hope that all the gliding computers implement it. Make it modular and implement a couple of converters/synchronizers with central repository/format.
Until that happens I would like to have peer to peer XCSoar task sharing. Integrated into the task manager UI. One option is a central internet repository (something really simple) and internet transfer. But how many of us have PDAs with WIFI? Please let us know if you do. (I do). The repository could then be reused even for the "grand plan". Bluetooth and it's file transfer is a usability disaster. IR? Maybe, if the developers would care to program something for this ancient technology. SD Cards shuffling/sharing? My installation of XCSoar is on a SD card right now, but I could move it into the main memory if that would give me the task sharing functionality...Would people use that? I'll write about the "grand plan" later. Tibor On Sat, Jan 22, 2011 at 00:37, Roman Stoklasa <rst...@gmail.com> wrote: > Hi Tibor, > > this is a great idea, in my opinion!
