Mike,
I believe the story in the Bible of the 'Garden of Eden' is a mythologized
description of what mankind's life was like before he became too dependent upon
and attached to his rational mind (dualism - Knowledge of Good and Evil).
Before that he lived at one with God - in the Garden of Eden.

MEL: Every religion seems to have its own myth, or special stories. As I go
through studies of the life of the Buddha, I will rewrite things for myself and
compile it all, and totally exclude the stupendous or magnificent. On a side
note, one bible reference I do have has a picture of Adam and Eve, with
dinosaurs in the background, and if that's not a big sell to the evolutionists,
then I don't know anymore and I guess that's just the way of things
