Why not use that view of the sky to charge up the rig pulling you.
Given truckers drive at night, so this wouldnt work well, not to mention driving in non-sunny states :)

Well, I guess we will have to agree to disagree since neither of us have a crystal ball into an alternate reality which doesn't exist. Good or bad is generally subjective, but when you're paying someone to sit and watch the battery meter go to full I think economically it would certainly be good to have cheap fuel and go versus cheaper electric and wait.

Time it. You will be surprised. 5 minutes.
Gotta drive in, park, get out, gas cap off,
swipe card, wait for authentication, select
fuel, wait for beep, put hose in, pull
trigger. Wait a couple of minutes, reverse
all of the above, stand in rain, snow gas
                    fumes, noise.
From the moment you leave the street to
being back on the street 5 minutes.
                    And it costs you money!

We drive past gas stations every day. It's
                    what, 2 minutes?

If you travel >200 miles your time table is
screwed as you need to charge. Your route
also can't be the scenic one.

It costs more than my current car which I
have today and I doubt it comes close in
                    terms of comfort.

Oh and the auto pilot doesn't try to hit
oncoming traffic. That's a nice upside!
