The original comment was regarding a person being " a thousand times more aware / conscious" My focus was more on what it means to be 1000 times more aware / conscious.

In my simple way, it sounds like the person is able to factor in thousands of times as much "stuff" into the workings of decision making. Not sure if this means that the unseen intuitive aspects of the brain are being used more fully (perhaps by "trusting" the intuition) or, that through some special acquisition of the right pieces of knowledge the brain now ties together thousands of times as many relevant bits of rules and facts.

As to "being-ness" of artificial intellect, it's above my pay grade.

Can you give me a clue on the "aware/conscious" parameter? Does this
equate to more knowledge? Is it insight into how things really work?
If such a brain simulation device existed that computed your mental
state in parallel, then it could just as well be you. It would be a
simple programming change from predicting your actions to carrying out
those actions (controlling a robot, perhaps). To everyone else, it
would certainly appear to be just as aware and conscious as you appear
to be.

Is is really conscious? Are you? How could I tell the difference?
