prior to installing can you use sqlplus and login, can you do a TNSPING? if those are working -- off the 64bit side.. then you should be fine.. but if you LD_LIBRARY_PATH is pointing to the 32bit, first, and not the 64bit first.. and you cannot use the sqlplus from the 11.. this is a great start
