?Are there any free programs to develop for Pixel bender though?

this way you can go for PixelBender ,at least it executes inside Flash Player
giving you a real additional thread.

I’ve never heard of WebWorkers before. Interesting. Maybe I could somehow
pass a function from Flash player (using ExternalInterface) to one of those,
and multithread that way!

I guess no, because Adobe guys did not mention any Treads management API
.May be they will surprise us .But in this case I think they would need to re-
architecture entire ActionScript language

By the way; will Molehill have support for ‘real’ Threading?

That is it ,at the end it is all about vectors and matrices. But you know
,not everyone is built fr this kind of stuff,Also it is time consuming to get
things done from scratch . Libs like Away3D are really helpful to speed up the
development and giving you a full access to the source you can moderate it to
your needs pretty fast. I am not sure this will be the case with Molehill
Away3D version... (I mean hacking lib's core)

In the end, they all accomplish the same basic principle. Different
languages and tools are often simply different perspectives on how to
accomplish the same task. Unfortunately, seeing as I’m not part of the
pre-release team, I don’t really know what classes Molehill even has. I am
definitely looking forward to its release though! I hope it happens soon!

You are absolutely right but pay attention that XNA has more utilities
and helpers to get stuff done . Molehill is really tough stuff.

And it’s debatable whether or not they have cameras, because there is
no ‘camera’ class like there is in Away3D (which is pretty powerful, and will
be even better after Molehill comes out). They just let you define a View
matrix, a Projection matrix, and a World matrix.

That is true, but with the power comes the complexity...

Not nearly as simple as Away3D though.
