Ok, here's my suggestion: - I'm going to add Album Artists and "All Artists" browse modes - They will not be part of a plugin, but in the core. - There will be a switch in Settings/My Music to change between the current configurable artist browse mode and the two new modes. Those who prefer the old mode (me) can stick with it. Those who prefer two separate lists can change as they like. - The "Show x in Artists" and "group artists..." options will be disabled and ignored if you select to have the two new browse modes. - I'll leave the Extended Browse Modes plugin in there for those who'd like to add one or two simple other browse modes. One of them will be a pre-defined "Compilations" browse mode.
This step will not include any changes to the presentation of an artist's album list (yet?). Once this is done and the number of postings in this threads have reached numbers lower than 10 a day, I'll hopefully find time to take care of Erland's suggestion to support virtual libraries for even more browsing flexibility :-).
