Huh?!?! Wha?!?!

So what happened to my radiator was an isolated incident? I am the only
who's had this happen to?

I feel so alone now......

Car: 1995 318ti-94100 miles
Oil: Mobil 1 15W-50(changed one month/1000 miles ago) Mobil 1 15W-50 has
been used since the first oil change at 4000 miles.
Symptom: On dead cold starts(@ 60F ambient temperature) the engine makes
a ticking sound if the engine speed is raised above 1000 rpm within @20
seconds of starting. After that initial 20 seconds the noise is gone and
does not return for the rest of the day. This noise only started within
the past week. Last night I replaced the timing chain tensioner with the
improved version but it had no effect. I suspect that it is lifter noise
but I question why the noise suddenly appeared. My first inclination is
to just let the car idle for 20-30 seconds and forget about it. That
said, any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Depends on what the definition of "forever" is. :-)

There is only one definition of "forever".

:-)

And it is a very long time...

All,

Apologies for the OT post, but do you know any good internet part
sources for non-bimmer car parts (more specifically Nissan). Google
returns a bunch of links but they all seem the same and not all parts
are original. Fortunately, the EPA mandated sites make getting service
information pretty easy.

Thanks,
Avi.
