I don't know CA geography, but with more than 50 shops to chose from,
one has to be reasonably close.

Subject: <E30> Axle carrier removal
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

In trying to plan the cuts for sawing up the E30 parts car, I'm thinking
about dropping the rear axle carrier.

If I just loosen the bolts and cut out the bushings from the subframe
bushings will the axle carrier then fall off the chassis or does the
bushing outer cylinder compress against the chassis and carrier holding the
two in place?

This saves me from having to remove the rear control arms and having to
cut through the thick carrier. The diff and drive shaft are of course
already gone.

Thanks, Kevin

The centre of the rear bushings get stuck in the body. Cutting
vertically through the bushings will release the rear sub frame from the
car.
