I've decided to try to find a good used E46 M3. My budget suggests an
'01-03 model, preferably Orient Blue or Steel Gray metallic (I think its now
called "Sparkling Graphite Metallic"), six speed manual, no nav. I'm
currently searching all the internet boards, just wanted to throw this out
if anyone has something like this or knows of one, I'd appreciate a heads
up.

Thnx.

Bill M.

A local club member overheated a '96 318ti, and probably warped the head. He
is looking for a used M44 head, or perhaps a whole motor (more common in E36
318i/is, and also Z3 1.9). If you have one lying around or have any leads,
please let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Considering the costs, might be worth it to drop an M50 in.

Now you are talking, Gary -- and you probably have a couple of them lying
around too! :-)

And if everything else fails, I know Brett can stuff a V12 in it.

says Bobby Thrash of Strictly German (Braselton GA) has a good supply
of M42 and M44 engines just lying about.

E39 540i. We can convert the kit for any year. New, never run. It
will also fit an E38, although you have to be prepared to tweak it a little.

$6995 list, plus shipping and duties from Norway (about $600).
$6100 takes it all.

Listing again as I've lowered my asking price...

Calypso/Royal Red metallic with black interior. 128k miles. Sport Pack
with Steptronic, Cold Weather Pack, (upgraded DVD - MKIV) Navigation,
Xenons/projector beams, power rear sunshade, side sun shades,
integrated/concealed iPod (Dension ICELink), factory rubber floor and trunk
mats, plus original carpet mats. Leather is in great shape. Factory forged
18" M Parallels (brand new Goodyear Eagle F1). I installed a custom exhaust
to add a subtle, slightly agressive note. No resonance, have to pay
attention to hear it. Best part is that it opened up breathing so the car
gets 27mpg @ 72/73 mph!

Fanatical maintenance with detailed records available upon request.
Transmission fluid (by KMS) and final drive fluid changed at 100k. Engine
oil every 7.5k (Mobil 1) all common E38 issues fixed - radiator/surge tank,
front bushings, valley gaskets, gauge cluster pixels, rear ball joints. This
car is a great cruiser. email for pictures. $17000

Andy

That seems like an excellent car and I'd be interested except I don't
know if it's in Ohio (the KMS reference) or in Alaska.
