i think the yellow teflon tape actually got squished into the area the
gasket surface is too. not sure about other uses, but the natural gas
pressure in a home is nill - i think just a couple of pounds pressure.
actually i replaced the element twice, and thats how i know the tape
squished out a little too. so i did it twice now, and okay results. use
lots of it tho, i did, the threads look loose tolerance to me.
