This is a sad example of the "culture of outrage" purveyors such as Rush, Ann Coulter, etc. Their goal is create an "us" and "them" culture from which they can profit. To do that they have to define "them" and then outrage their audience into thinking that they're "us". The "them" are, of course, fictitious inventions of the outrage hawkers. Those under the sway of the demagogues lose their ability to debate over what is said, and instead debate with the talking points given them. Because they have been convinced they're "us", they assume anyone that doesn't agree with everything they say must be "them". Typically "us" people lack the mental horsepower to design and devise their own view, which is what attracted them to the demagogues in the first place. And so the result is, you get ridiculous, pathetic, moronic statements like "you really hate this country ... blah, blah, blah". It's hard to even write that without laughing. I still have trouble believing someone did. It has, however, created quite a large amount of entertainment for many friends so I have trouble discouraging it. Nevertheless, if I don't without pointing out how ridiculous it is, then I would taking advantage of someone. So, to preserve my ethics, here is my post stating how ridiculous this statement is and how bluntly it shows an abdication of thought in favor of parroting talking points from modern day idea grifters such as Rush and Coulter the mananimal. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:210559 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
