1.) If a marine in Iraq is shot at he can shoot to kill. 2.) If a known terrorist, such as Zarqawi, is caught anywhere in the World, he's open game. 3.) GitMo detainees deserve an open hearing because that's consistent with American values. Something we should strive to apply to all people and ask that they apply to us. Translation: the current terrorist/Iraq/Al Quaeda environment is different from peace time security and different from war. America needs to lead the World in developing new laws that both allow us to protect ourselves while also treating our enemy in a manner consistent with American values. The best thing we can do as Americans is show the World that, despite the fact we are fighting monsters, our values still apply. Because if we take your route, that American values no longer apply, then why have them? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:210598 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
