<<<Would you clarify what your interpretation of close-up is?.........2nd AND 3rd generation....or just 2nd. Do you think the 4th generation carries any weight in a pedigree? Anyone else that would like to contribute to an interpretation of close up,>>>>
Pam, I take close up to be the first three generations but I believe that the fourth generation does carry weight as while there may appear to be no linebreeding in the first three, if you move over one column, it may become apparent that a dog is very closely bred indeed. I think we had discussion on the definitions of these terms some time ago - some maintained it was only linebred if the same dog appeared in the first 2 generations. My interpretation is a lot broader than that and I think the ancestors in the fourth generation can have a great influence for good or evil depending on their "genotype" LOL Jeanie with fire extinguisher at the ready! <G> ========================================================= "Magic Commands": to stop receiving mail for awhile, click here and send the email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20NOMAIL to start it up gain click here: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20MAIL E-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] for assistance.
