The Databend failure is not initial slot readiness: checkpoint 4 expires, the Flink global committer hangs during cancellation, and the watchdog shuts down TaskManager. The retry then has zero slots. This FakeSource/Flink fixture does not exercise the new CDC-reporting path, and another PR shows the same sequence.
