the one nice thing about all this. is we have had a BF3 server. no one ever
really played on it ( from my clan ) but now its doing ok. ????

What HL2.exe problems are you even getting? I haven't had a hl2.exe crash in
CS:S for a long long time. (But don't even get me started on TF2's hl2.exe
crashes.)

Im surprised Vamped, that even after being a server operator since the beta
