You will not find a supplier that does much different
as others have said there are rules and they need followed (by everyone).
Sure you may not like it but that's life that's why our society keeps
flourishing. No one likes the folks that drive drunk but we cant go around
shooting suspected drunks just because one person may say so can we (Yes a
rule is a rule no matter how small we need to follow)
I have dealt with most of the other suppliers and you find Tucows will
always do what is right. I have been with Tucows since before they did
domains and I will always look to them for guidance the rules are fair and
evenly administered.......

Subject: [domains-gen] Give me a reason Tucows
Hello
I am seriously considering leaving Tucows/OpenSRS after 8 years.
A client has had her domain name hijacked by her OpenSRS reseller. She
registered her name with a reseller who has no online interface. The
reseller then registered her domain name with their own information as
admin contact. Now the client has signed up with us to host said domain
name, but because the other resller "owns" the domain, they are not
allowing her to move it. I contacted compliance about this, and was told
that the client can fill out the form and fax it to Tucows. Well, that
would be all well and good if the client had lost her login info, or if
the client had changed her email address without changing it in the domain
record. But neither of these scenarios happened. The reseller stole the
domain plain and simple.
Now, if I were one who liked to take advantage of this situation, I could
stay with Tucows knowing that any domain I stole from my customer would be
safe with me, due to complete inaction by Tucows. I could really make a
killing. But seeing as I am an ethical businessman, I have no intention to
take advantage of this situation, and will immediately start to look for a
domain wholesaler who will protect the end user from this abuse.
