Phil,

This is not a problem at all, but it is a matter of audio levels as well 
as knowing your equipment.

The SignaLink is capable of providing either Line level audio or 
Microphone level audio.
The SignaLink off-the-shelf is plugged for microphone level audio.

If you choose to use a Line level input to the transceiver, you must 
change the jumper - not a problem, it is just one of those "facts of life".
