I changed the outgoing mail server to "smtp.earthlink.net". I checked the "Authentication required" box. I then tried it both with using the username and password for incoming mail, and with a separate setting using my iTools/mac.com account name and password. In both cases, the connection fails. Either you are imagining things (which I doubt, since you seem to know exactly what you are doing), or Earthlink tech support is imagining things, or else they have things set up differently on different servers. I cannot think of an other explanation. As far as I can see I have tried every possible combination of things, and IT JUST DON'T WORK! > > on 2/23/02 6:50 PM, Allen Watson at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > >> I've tried those exact same settings and they do not work for me. <shrug> I >> really don't care, to be honest.
