I don't think Kirk was annoyed at *all* MVPs, and it's true that sometimes
there's not anything you can do to solve a problem. But occasionally, a
little sympathy (e.g. "I understand your problem; unfortunately I can't fix
it") is a lot more useful than suggesting that the person's work habits
should be changed, or changing the subject, or whatever.
People tend to get a little snippy when they're frustrated. Instead of
getting outraged by them or insulting them, count to ten, re-read the
message, and try to see what the problem is and why they're upset.
