As for your PP certificate, even when your certification will be limited, asterisked so to say, you seem to be limited to certain airplanes anyway. I assume that if you switch over to a different airplane in the future, the costs for revalidating your license will be a small factor in that transition. Then as the saying goes, ones an Ercouper, always an Ercouper... I can't even imagine to give up my Ercoupe. Occasionally I flew a Cherokee ( for the 4 seats) and Tomahawks, I learned on, and a Cessna 172. I hade offers to fly other planes, but I don't even feel the urge. The Ercoupe is perfect for all I want to do and can do with an airplane. Except someone pays me the expenses for the Beech 18 that I'd like to guide around the planet. ;-) That is a different story though.
