I have read this thread with interest. Both my home build EV's are AC powered and utilise regen either from a released accelerator or brake pedal switch.
The accelerator regen braking is superb to use and I only use brakes to stop quickly or to hold the car on an incline. My older EV ( a Lotus Elise) has been in events where the energy was logged with mixed driving albeit relatively gently as I wished to use as little as possible over a 60 mile Brighton to London route. The regen was measured at a reasonable 10% over the route which varied between country roads and city driving. Forgetting all the maths, 10% free energy to me is an absolute bonus and not to be ignored. How many ICE drivers would like their fuel topped up by 10% when they drive down the road. -- View this message in context: http://electric-vehicle-discussion-list.413529.n4.nabble.com/EVLN-Fiat-500e-EV-close-to-perfect-tp4668392p4668530.html Sent from the Electric Vehicle Discussion List mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org For EV drag racing discussion, please use NEDRA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA)
