There is 2 kinds of bashing -- and sometimes it is difficult in separating
the two.
The one kind isn't really bashing; and it is what you are describing --
intelligently and thoughtfully pointing out weaknesses in a product or the
vendor offering the same.
The second type is the one Rick addressed -- the reflexive cheerleader
style where I use product xxx so, therefore, xxx is 100% perfect and yyy
is just the opposite.
The folks who do this latter kind of bashing often have either not
actually experienced what they are bashing or are basing it on impressions
which very much may be dated and on versions long ago replaced or retired.
I should also note, to the cheerleader crowd, that bashing the products of
a competitive firm isn't really praising your favorite product.
Why, well if the other one is so unattrawctive, then the one you have
opted for may well be just the lesser of all evils.
If, on the other hand, a competitor's product which is fantastic and you
have opted to use something else tells me that your choice must really be
great.
I may have never used JFW, but I also believe based on tons of stuff I've
read and talking to proficient JFW users that it is a very good screen
reader.
Well, if JFW is a good screen reader and someone still prefers WE, what
does that say.
Well, to me that tells methat WE must be a pretty great product.
Hope folks get my drift on this.
