Sorry, i didn't mean to push any buttons on a now old argument, that wasn't my attention. I also prefer to use my iBook for more than the same old email, internet type of thing alone. I've got a program called Smart music, which I use to turn my computer into a modbile musical accompanist. After that, My whole life is on the computer, which means I now also need to upgrade to a newer Palm pilot that has an OS X native Pam desktop. With the addition of a decent digital camera, I have been getting more and more heavily into photo editing, and the list of more intensive uses is growing. Granted, it's not the same as what you're doing, but still, a faster computer does help compared to how I've been limping along up till now. Finally, no, we all don't need the latest and greatest all the time, but we certainly do want it- especially once we've gotten a real taste of it.
