Which connection is dropping? the one from your provider to the base
station or the base station to your computer?
If it's consistently 6 hours, could be the lease is expiring, and then
there's  more involved, like why it's not finding another DHCP server. See
what the lease is set to in your settings. I don't use airport so can't
help you as to where to find that. Is your machine set to go to sleep
after 6 hours?
