I wouldn't call the people who are looting and rioting as "citizens".

Luckily it seems to be being brought under control now, but if it wasn't
then there is a very good risk of some of us citizens standing up to them
ourselves, and that could indeed be called a civil war.

And again, let's not try and link what is happening with the shooting in
Tottenham, it is totally unrelated and the vast majority of those looting
wouldn't even know the blokes name.  The bloke who was shot was waving
around a firearm, so let's also not infer that this was another innocent
victim or police brutality.

maybe they re not using plastic bullets because they dont want to risk
killing kids? After all this did start by someone being shot by the police.
tear gas wont kill anyone so maybe thats a better idea.

I note that quite a few people wants the army involved however I d say that
putting the army against your own citizens is similar to a civil war in many
respects.
I understand these are riots but hey... Hence I agree this is a job for the
police and not the army.
