First, you are not forced into any "state of indebtedness" by this sale....and sale it was. *YOU* are forced into a state of indebtedness by your government spending *1 billion dollars a week in Iraq*, though. You *WILL be forced* into a deper state when the 6 *trillion* dollar price tag comes due to replace the war materials and machinery used up in this 'war' that has not come due yet. You *ARE* forced into a much greater state of indebtedness because your Vice President's company provides *almost every service and piece* of equipment to this 'war' under a no-bid contract. You *will be* forced into even more indebtedness by the proposed 12 * trillion* dollar joy ride to Mars. You worry over small things you have no authority or power to change. Would it feel better if you were proven correct, yet *still paid the tab* on this deal with the Ute? Cause that the *best you will get.* ** You want this deal to end because *YOU* weren't alive when it was struck? * YOU* weren't alive when *MANY things* were agreed to by our government...but *YOU* are* not the Government*, and their agreements stand regardless of * YOU* not being around when they were signed. And what is especially funny is, I do not hear *YOU* complaining about ALL THE THINGS I LISTED and *SOOOO many more!* But tell you what....how about you and I appeal to Congress. We offer this compromise: the Ute are left to fend for themselves, and the southern 1/2 of the State of Utah be returned to their ownership. Everything south of Provo should do the trick. The land granted to the US government and the State of Utah be returned to the Ute, especially the oil rich land presently being tapped and the coal deposits being mined, and the Government no longer needs to provide funds for food clothing shelter and fuel, be returned to the people of the Ute Nation. Sounds fair....you get less 'indebtedness', the Ute get billions of dollars of real estate returned to them you sleep more soundly. Unless, that is, someone talks and lets the Government know that a signed contract is binding regardless of whether *YOU* were born when it was signed or not. Oh....a clue...moral obligation and legal obligation....apples and oranges. indebtedness.....that is a good one.
