Elsevier seems to have a funny way to handle .tex. Even though they accept .tex and even provide .sty for that, they seem to send the submissions to India and have them re-typed _manually_ in whatever system they use for the final typesetting. That's my only explanation for them being able to remove typos, introduce new ones and messing up tables ;-} Given that the result looks pretty TeX-ish that's... "wierd". Andre'
