I don't mean to thread-jack, but I am having similar issues with an ECA.

I am a new Matterhorn user who is also having issues with registering
the ECA on 1.2 core. My ECA is showing 2.2.0d firmware. I plug in
admin/opencast for the username and password and point the URL to our
Matterhorn server but it never registers. If I run a Wireshark
capture, I am seeing the same "401 Incorrect Response" as another user
who posted earlier in the week.

What am I doing wrong? We would like to get this up and running.

Thanks,

The stock firmware has a bug that prevents it from properly registering
with a 1.2 core. I've since corrected it, but it does require an
upgrade to the newest (2.2.0d, should be out this week hopefully)
firmware.

The devices have small amounts of memory inside and can misbehave
sometimes when they need to upgrade their firmware. I would remove
power from both units for a minute or two, then restore power and
immediately try and upgrade again. If that still doesn't work then
please let us know and we can look at alternatives.
