Jet fuel is NOT #2 diesel -- it's more like gasoline and doesn't have 
the proper lubricating qualities for use in diesel injection pumps.  
LIke gasoline, it will burn badly and knock and smoke quite a bit, and 
give you fairly low hp as well.

Stick to #2.
Jet engines won't run on #2, either, except for some of the really old 
ones (like J-75s), and even then are very hard to start.
