Yeah token gifts are acceptable say flowers, though gifts are reported as they should be especially to government employees, I do remember one time when I was first here the board of directors gave to me one of the offered gifts,, it was to a Piano concert competition.
The truth is the concert was fantastic and I really did enjoy it. It was given to me and my wife because of my love for classical music. It was an event that there was no way we could even get tickets because it was totally sponsored and paid for by the company giving the completion. This was a very rare exception. I am very proud that this is standard policy and it is honored by all employees Allan On Mon, Jun 29, 2009 at 8:08 AM, Vamadevananda <[email protected]>wrote: > > I wonder why may I accept a ' gift ' from someone who I do not even > know, to whom I myself have never offered one ( gift ) or ( left to > myself ) would never desire to ! > > " Integrity does not have to be lost upon the receipt of a gift." > > Read the first para.
