whether people understand words in the same way likewise presupposes the
distinction between words and ideas.

Ron raises the issue of context. Isn't context another form of
communication without words?

Ron:
Biological context from a social perspective would qualify I think. We
are able to derive meaning because we share evolutional instinct at a
social level. I'm down with that.
