[Krimel] While not immune from culturally determined variation the expression and comprehension of emotions is remarkably universal not only within our species but across species.
Ron: I've experienced that kind of communication, although, I question how Much of the meaning is understood and how much I'm projecting. [Krimel] I am informed by certain women in my life that I am bad to the point of indifference to this kind of communication. I claim its just a guy thing, but as excuses go this one really doesn't cut it. [Krimel] I agree with Matt that even the attempt to have no style is a style. But honesty and careful communication can emerge from any style if properly used. Ron: Agree, you drive to the heart of it. Making the effort to care is the focal point. What is communicated is care. Also care seems to be unilaterally valued. [Krimel] Saying that one could write without style is like saying one could be free of cultural assumptions or that one could live without making philosophical assumptions.
