Hi Mark and all,

S/O. For many years Reality, (Existence ?) was seen as Subjective or
Objective, 2 levels in existence, described in S/O Metaphysics as
Subject/Object reality.

IMHO Pirsig envisioned DQ undefined/SQ defined modalities for reality for
evolution. The number of levels in evolution remained an open question.
DQ, for me, best describes an indefinable level in existence. (Level
defines individuality) Evolution becomes a description for levels in
existence. How many?

I sing in a Church Choir. I use the Gregorian musical scale as a model for
the number of levels in existence, evolution, with its two half-tone
intervals Mi-FA, Ti-Do indicating a need for special input. Poetic,
certainly!

The logic of metaphysics DQ/SQ is not the logic of mathematics. Describing
a reality, DQ, as indefinable is unlike illogical 1/0.

I am not familiar with the logic for "jump or quantum evolution". Is the
"jump" always the same interval? What is the basis for the scale of
measurement?

Joe
