Uhhh...

A-1 says "The Open Gaming Foundation is the creation of Mr. Ryan Dancey, and
as such has direct ties to Wizards of the Coast."

True.

The OGF Site says, "The Open Gaming Foundation is a private organization,
and it not managed by or overseen by Wizards of the Coast or any other game
publisher."

Strictly "factually" true, but contextually FALSE as it leads the reader
directly to the incorrect conclusion that the OGF is free of ties to WotC.

Don't play word games here. Semantics is a wonderful thing, but (whether
you are strictly FACTUALLY correct from a semantic standpoint or not) if you
allow an intentional misrepresentation to stand in the readers mind you ARE
lying.

Particularly if you are AWARE that people are being misled, as is the case.
