>True.

As misleading as you're accusing Ryan of being. Hasbro does not have
control over the OGL, an *EMPLOYEE* of theirs does. This would be different
if, for example, Peter Arkinson (who's directly in charge of WotC) owned the
OGL. But he doesn't; Ryan does.

"The Open Gaming Foundation is the creation of Mr. Ryan Dancy, who is also
Vice President of WotC's RPGs. He has directed WotC's RPG department into
adopting and drafting the OGL, but the OGF is a seperate entity from WotC."

"It is." Of course, the OGL--which, at present, is all the OGF has--isn't.
The OGF is, but the OGL isn't.

Maybe the OGF could be seen as the "other party" in the OGL, and informal
membership could be given to anyone who critiques the OGL (or some other
game license) or produces Open Game Content.

>Don't play word games here. Semantics is a wonderful thing, but (whether

No, not lying. Being not clear, but *NOT* lying. For one thing,
*EVERYTHING* that WotC has control over is clearly labeled as such. For
another, Ryan has *CONSTANTLY* been clear with his intentions and his
standing.

>Particularly if you are AWARE that people are being misled, as is the case.

Ryan *MIGHT* be not living up to his ethical responsibility to clearly
represent the whole truth, but he isn't *LYING.* That's like saying he's a
murderer for owning a gun.
