My Networking Connections indicate Obtain an IP Address automatically and
Obtain Server Address automatically.

I'll be happy to call my ISP, but before I do - if the settings had been
changed, wouldn't it be impossible for me to be communicating with you right
now from that computer?

One note: I've been on line now for a few hours. I had to reboot twice (once
shortly after I started working) but now I've bee online for 61 minutes.
I've uploaded and downloaded email and surfed the web. I opened 36 web pages
simultaneously, just to push it to the max. It's working perfectly now.

This is what is so annoying. I've tried the usual solutions. I can't figure
out what is triggering the problem.
