sorry to have you go through this mess. At this point I am having a
simpler issue with PlayReal... I am having a problem getting anything to
work at all when I swap mplayer. I test with this basic BBC station
which works well with RC2, but when I swap with the new mplayer,
playreal does not work at all.
rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk:554/radio1coyopa/radio_1_-_friday_1900.ra
This is the new mplayer I use
https://code.google.com/p/mplayer-for-windows/downloads/detail?name=mplayer-svn-36350.7z&can=2&q=
This mplayer can play anything you lay at it ( using FFmpeg), you can
download it and try it on command line... The issue is whether this can
be integrated with PlayReal. I got the feeling the backend of this
mplayer does not support certain switches ( -cache -bandwidth) and when
it fails to log to Wowza server, it still manages to play the stream but
cannot do pre-caching etc...
I do not know if the output can somehow stay compatible with what
PlayReal wants..
Here is yet another stream, all can play on new mplayer... ( if you want
to test)

rtsp://livestreaming.ositcom.net:1935/vdl/vdllb
rtsp://mobilestreaming.itworkscdn.com/radioorient/radioorient

On slimserver 7.3.3 I get this error when I play these stations
Plugins::PlayReal::RTSPScanHeaders::_error (66) error connecting to url:
error=End of file url=rtsp://livestreaming.ositcom.net:1935/vdl/vdllb
I think this error is the "Wowza not supported server" but beyond that
the stream plays fine (in command line).
What I noticed though is that there is no caching support like earlier
streams ( like BBC stream)... so the interface to the output is very
different.

Having said all of this, I cannot thank you enough for what you have
done already! and yes we can abandon this thread, but I feel a bit
frustrated since I feel this is pretty close... and we just need to fix
an interface ;)
