In the past, when PowerPro used the command line to import information
into .PCF files, I was launching PProConf and the next step of my
script required that this be complete. An awkward way of doing this
can be found in my ColourSpy installation script, which repeatedly
attempts to delete the file that PProConf is reading, and when this
file is deletable, it is assumed that PProConf has terminated and the
script moves on.

This of course is not failsafe since the script could successfully
delete the file in question before PProConf opens it for reading.

Now that PowerPro uses ImportCL(), etc. to complete this task, I
mainly plan to use such a feature for a utility that processes a
binary file and appends output to a text file.

A window is not created during the process, no new files are created
and the executable can take as long as twenty seconds to run, while
beginning to modify the output file at the start of the process, so
checking for a window, a new file, or watching for a change in
filestamp of the output file are not practicable options.

Perhaps something along the lines of a File.ExecWait() service would
be in order? In addition to running an executable and halting the
script during this time, would it be possible for this plugin service
to report any errorlevels that the executable may return? E.g.:

Local ErrorLevel =
File.ExecWait(?"C:\CmdLnUtil.exe", "Params", ?"C:\WorkDir")
