I think I know where I could get older computers
(Place I got my RAM from once, they were giving away
older computers before) but unless I knew how to fix
them, they'd just clutter up my appartment.
I like such programs, have read about them but have my
doubts if they'd work.
I 'm thinking there's a limited of pool of people
willing to settle for older computers even if they
work fine (Which is why they end up being thrown out
in the first place). so while it's a great idea, not
sure how realistic it is. Probably most of these
people get a credit card and buy a brand new computer.

I've done some limited dumpster diving, I look what
people in my appartment complex throw out sometimes. I
know that dumpster diving can be illegal, I think it's
due to being on someones' property, not the stealing
trash issue. I would not care at all if someone came
here and took stuff out of our dumpster.

I would probably limit myself to old mac stuff, not
because I hate other computers but because it would
complicate such a project for me to learn about
another kind of computer system.

Another nice idea, but only thing is giving away
computers for free would be problematic because the
new parts would cost money. I'm sure the very first
thing is a lot of these older fix me up compys would
need more RAM just like mine.
