It's not a Photoshop issue, so I wouldn't worry about the source of those
brushes. But I hope you ran the brushes through a virus checker as there is
a pro-US virus doing the rounds. It starts with the flag on the menu bar and
then changes your dictionary to US and then eventually the desktop
background to a start and stripes. I would wipe your HDD and start again
before it starts to play the stars and stripes when you boot - that's
another sign!!!

OTOH, look under International > Input and make sure only English is
selected. The flag only appears if you have more than one selected and
you're probably using the shortcuts to change from one to the other.
