Exactly my point. Nothing can beat a PCB designer with 10 years 
experience. Computers are simply not smart and not adaptive enough. Most 
board tools are programmed by people that have never made a board in 
their life. And layout people wouldn't be caught dead writing programs.

. but then test it.Routers are good for the average quick and dirty job. 
But throw a highly complex mixed analog / digital design with high speed 
a/dand d/a , noise sensitive analog stages , high voltage stuff and 
other neat things at them and they go haywire. Sure they can create a 
100 % connected board but when you put the product to the test it will 
fail on numerous points:

- too much digital noise coupled into the analog
- flashovers between high voltage paths
- getting EMC complance can be a nightmare.

true the outer can do the 'digital spaghetti' in less time then a human 
can , but then typically you need a number of respins  to get the result 
you wanted.
