My tests were with Protel99SE, SP6, WinXP-Pro. --------------------------------------------------------- Autoroute Board#1, using defaults, 25 seconds. Autoroute Board#3, using defaults, 5 min, 20 seconds. ---------------------------------------------------------
It looks like Protel's autorouter is more memory & FSB bus speed intensive than CPU core speed intensive. My FSB/memory speed is 800 MHz. Even if I put in a 1.8 GHz CPU, the autoroute times would probably be the about the same.
