The bible says that God chastises all of us. Abused or
not we all get it from God now and again. The Bible
says rebellion is in the heart of a child and the rod
of correction drives it far from him. While we must
be vigilant to oppose abuse, we must also be vigilant
to apply some rod when necessary. It is nice to see
that someone is not ashamed of discipline.

It reminds me of the American boy who vandalized a car
in an oriental country and was sentenced to lashing with
cane. Many here in the US were appalled. Even the
Chief Executive wound up involved a bit. We have become
a more rebellious people since we decided that spanking
is a bad thing. We reap what we sow.

Good for grampa.
