I think that in order to clear confusion, there should be a distinction
between the boys Silver Hawk award and the Leader's LTC for Bucks and
Straight Arrows, they are the same design and same pattern, one should be a
little different and the same with the Senior Commander's Award and the
Outpost Commanders award, the cloth in the Ribbon are the same thing. Anyone
ever noticed that? Everyone is talking about going liberal and relaxed,
while on the other hand, I have to ask, is that what we are doing with our
call too? Are we going liberal and relaxing what we have always stood for?
Golf shirts are nice, but they should not be substituted for formal uniforms.
Right now it's sink or swim with this whole thing and I have to ask which
one are we going to pick? We had a really good thing going and then all
these changes came around and messed up everything, confused a lot of people
and the people didn't understand what was going on because it was so much
change all at once. If a person who earned their GMA came around, one who
has not been able to stay with the Rangers over the years came back and saw
where we are at now I believe that he would be confused. All of the change,
though much needed, isn't always for the better. I think that there should
be a quorum or some way to have input that would get sent in along with the
outpost charter so that different ideas and opinions can get heard and then
go with what the general consensus is from that.
Of course, for some reason though all of my input also has a strange way
of making it to the Recycle bin, but ends up there nonetheless.

Blessings,

Iron Mike
