I concur, this does happen, I used to be able to do this ALL the time, but
presently am not in the position to do this as I had before. Please
understand that this is testimony, it is the "REACHING" part of the ministry
as it establishes a platform in which we can speak freely about. I would
walk into a McDonald's wearing the uniform and quickly people are asking
about it and taking notice. You get sized up a lot even if you don't get
asked about it. People generally have a good impression, and it's that
impression that leaves a mark which can be a seed that can grow no matter how
small. Remember the parable of the mustard seed on this one. Be seen, let
people ask questions. Our job is to tell them whether they come to our
churches or not, it's our obligation to tell them whether they want to hear
it or not, because at least they would have been told about the Lord. It's
not the uniform that we wear but who we represent in wearing that uniform,
and if we look like a slob, then guess what? How does that make Christ of
whom we represent look?
IMHO,
Blessings,
Iron Mike
