The powers that be have a much better assessment of whether this is
mental or physical.

If they know it's mental, then other teams may also know it's mental and
a change of venue might be worth the chance.  Perhaps the Sox can get a
few million.  Like pay $10M of the $14M and the other team gets to take
a chance for $4M.  OMG!!!!!  What am I saying?  Just read how ridiculous
these numbers are.
