I have found over the years that an American Models engine (usually a GP-35)mixed in consist with the brass engines is a good policy. There have been several train shows where by the end of the day the AM engine is pushing a brass engine, pulling a brass engine, and pulling the train! The AM engines may not be as detailed, but they are stout and reliable.
